The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with VAL Rollers, Inc. 2345 N. Butler Avenue, Indianapolis, IN for the acquisition of sixteen (16) Roller Adapters (P/N 6796850). The Roller Adapters from VAL Rollers are required components of the AE1107C Engine FWD/AFT Mounting Adapter which is a piece of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for the V-22 Aircraft. The Roller Adapters are Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental Items (NDI). The required delivery date for the Roller Adapters quantity eight (8) is 06 April 2000. The required delivery date for the remaining eight (8) is 15 August 2000. The Government does not hold any proprietary rights to any drawings or specifications. NAWCAKLE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open their requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
