526-6039 This shall serve as Amendment #One (1) to the combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items published 12/20/99. The
following changes are made to the original publication: 1. All
references to the words "scrape" or "scrap" are removed. 2. The
solicitation remains a 100% set-aside for small businesses. However,
the non-manufacturer size standard of 500 employees shall be used for
purposes of this procurement. 3. Delivery terms shall be a maximum of
ninety (90) calendar days, FOB Seattle, Washington, after issuance of
an order. Orders will be issued on an as-needed basis and in writing.
Orders may be placed orally in emergency circumstances with
confirmation in writing. 4. Order(s) placed by the Government within
the base year will total a minimum of $50,000. Minimum ordering
limitations are applicable to the base year only and do not apply to
any option(s) which may or may not be exercised under this contract. 5.
Reference FAR 52.212-4, Addendum: FAR Clause 52.216-19, Order
Limitations is hereby amended as follows: (a) Minimum order: Supplies
totaling less than $2,500, the Government is not obligated to acquire
from the contractor; (b) Maximum order: The Contractor is not obligated
to honor (1) Any order for a single item in excess of 50% of any line
item listed;(2) Any order for a combination of items in excess of 50%
of each line item listed; or (3) A series of orders from the same
ordering office within thirty (30) calendar days that together call for
quantities exceeding the limitation in subparagraph (b)(1) or (2) of
this section. (d) seven (7) calendar days after issuance. 6. Bidders
are required to complete and submit a copy of the information stated in
FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial
Items. Full text of all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) can be
accessed on the Internet at www.arnet.gov/far. 7. IFB submissions must
be in writing and are due in the designated contracting office.
Amendments to the solicitation shall be acknowledged by number and date
in the submission. 8. The date, time, and location remain the same at
2:00pm, local time, January 13, 2000, Seattle, WA. All previously
published information remains unchanged and applicable to this
