OFFADD: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Seeks Partnerships with
Industry to Commercialize and Market the Tiltmeter Leveling Mechanism
Description: The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL),
operated by the University of California under contract with the U.S.
Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking U. S. companies interested in
commercializing the Tiltmeter Leveling Mechanism developed at LLNL.
LLNL is seeking industry partners interested in utilizing a two axis
tiltmeter for applications such as: oil wells to monitor hydraulic
fractures and to level seismic sensors in boreholes. The device is
effective for measuring tilts in a wide range of angles of inclination
of wells and can be employed to level a platform containing a third
sensor. The University of California's LLNL can license technology
through exclusive or non-exclusive licensing agreements, as
appropriate. Moving critical technology beyond the Laboratory to the
commercial world can assist our U.S. licensees in gaining a competitive
edge in the marketplace. Note: This is not a procurement. Companies
interested in entering into a license agreement for the tiltmeter
leveling mechanism should respond in writing within 45 days of this
announcement. Provide a short description of company history,
experience in the field, present position in the market, and ability to
commercialize this technology. To ensure consideration, interested
parties must respond in writing to LLNL by February 7, 2000 and provide
the following information: (1) the name and address of your
organization, (2) the name, address, telephone number, and fax number
of a point of contact, (3) the business, product and financial history
of your organization, (4) a description of your organization's
expertise and facilities in the area of broad band antennas related to
the above, (5) the organizational history of research and development
funding, and (6) the resources your organization could commit to this
project. Statement of interest should be sent to Industrial
Partnerships and Commercialization Office, LAWRENCE LIVERMORE National
Laboratory, P.O. Box 808, L-795, Livermore, CA 94551 . This is not a
procurement. Posted 12/22/99 (W-SN411094). (0356) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0009 19991227\A-0009.SOL)
