This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The U.S. ARMY Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established a Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website as part of the Army's Single Face to Industry to allow electronic postings of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitation for Bids (IFBs) from CECOM to industry. All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP at (http://abop.monmouth.army.mil). You may access potential CECOM Business Opportunities by simply selecting "CECOM Comm. & Elec. Com." under the heading "View by Contracting Activity" and then click on "GO". Registration for a user ID and password will only be necessary when you are considering the submission of proposals to CECOM through the IBOP. No bids shall be submitted directly to the Contracting Officer. This Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-15. This Request for Quotation, simplified acquisition, is in accordance with the FAR 13.601 test program for commercial items and is set-aside 100% for small business. The Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees for the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3669. The U.S. Army intends to procure the following item (0001AA): Noise Generator, NSN: 6625-00-489-4312, P/N: 07616 in accordance with FAR 6.203(c) at a quantity of 63 each. WARRANTY: Standard Commercial Warranty is required if one is offered to the general public. Provide copy of warranty with quote to include information regarding length of warranty, effective date, specific terms and conditions and warranty service provider with Company name and contact numbers (telephone, fax, etc.). MARKING: shall be in accordance with manufacturers commercial product marking. PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS: Packaging and Packing shall be in accordance with Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging (ASTM D 3951-98). Level of Preservation and Packing shall be as follows: LOP = Commercial, LPK = Commercial. Bar Code Markings shall be in accordance with ASTM D 3951-98 and MIL-STD 129. SHIP TO: Texarkana, TX; New Cumberland, PA; and Stockton, CA. DELIVERY: Date of delivery to all locations shall be on or before May 12, 2000. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. Inspection and Acceptance shall be Destination.
