The Regional Services Center Budapest, on behalf of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Kosovo intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals for the provision of construction services for the rehabilitation of community infrastructure and limited technical assistance for institutional development in Kosovo. The contract will have two components: rehabilitation of small scale infrastructure projects such as local electricity distribution, water supply, sanitation including sewers and solid waste management, schools and health clinics and other public buildings and local roads; and institutional strengthening of selected Kosovar public utilities. The contract is expected to run for three years and to cost between $30-$44 million. Telephone requests for the RFP will not be honored. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format). If you require a copy of the solicitation in paper form, you must specifically ask for it, but you will not receive both a copy in paper form and a floppy disk. Select Business and Procurement Opportunities from the home page, then "USAID Procurements." On the following screen, select "Download Available USAID Solicitations". The RFP can also be downloaded via Anonymous File Transfer Protocol (FTP). The FTP address is FTP.INFO.USAID.GOV. Logon using the user identification of "anonymous" and the password is your e-mail address. Look under the following directory for the RFP: pub/OP/RFP/RFP#. Receipt of this RFP through INTERNET must be confirmed by written notification to the contact person noted above.
