The Army plans a sole source procurement of M1114 Up-Armored HMMWVs from O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring Company, Fairfield, Ohio. This action proposes to acquire 360 each Up-Armored, High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles, vehicle model M1114, with a 150% option, plus an option of 150% against the first year's quantity of 360 for four (4) additional years resulting in an estimated quantity of 3,060 vehicles. The U.S. Army's budgeted requirement for the next five (5) years is 360 for each year. The option quantity is required to insure other customers up-armored vehicle requirements are met. Historically, the USAF, USN and FMS customers have acquired the Up-Armored HMMWV and it is necessary that quantity is available. The NSN number for the M1114 vehicle is 2320-01-413-3739. SEE Note 22.
