McLoughlin, phone (301) 757-5898 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)
has a requirement for a Multi-Role Endurance UAV Risk Assessment. The
Program Executive Office for Cruise Missiles and Joint Unmanned Aerial
Vehicles (PEO(CU)) is entering the Determination of Mission Needs
phase for the next priority UAV system on the Naval UAV Executive
Steering Group: Naval MAE. For the purposes of this analysis, the terms
MAE (Medium Altitude Endurance) and MRE (Multi-Role Endurance) are
interchangeable. This analysis is one of the SECNAV and DoD required
elements for a Milestone 0 on a possible acquisition program. The
Program Office (PMA-263) is seeking participation from those offerors
who have demonstrated and/or proven capability as either systems
integrators or manufacturers of aircraft or UAV Systems. The MRE RA
Program objectives are to: -- Develop a final MNS -- Provide System
Design and Definition -- identify potential configurations (and their
associated risks) -- identify critical technologies requisite for
success—Perform System Analysis and Risk Assessment -- document
trades and risks of the systems NAVAIR will only release the
solicitation/RFP, including any subsequent amendments, over the
Internet. NAVAIR will post the solicitation/RFP on the NAVAIR Home
Page. The RFP will not be posted on any other WEB site. The NAVAIR
Homepage is located at http://www.navair.navy.mil/ and can be accessed
using Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. To access the MRE RA
Broad Agency Announcement solicitation, select "Business", then "Doing
Business With Us", and then "Open Solicitations" under the heading
entitled "Doing Business with the Naval Air Systems Command". The MRE
RA Broad Agency Announcement will be listed under N00019-00-R-0292.
Interested offerors must provide proposals on the solicitation by 12:00
P.M. (Noon) Eastern Standard Time on 17 March 2000. Proposals must be
