The Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources that can receipt, disassemble, inspect and overhaul/repair Pratt & Whitney gas turbine components (NSN 2835-01-273-7715, and 2835-01-227-1709 end use of the components). The gas turbineand the componets are used on the 378' high endurance cutters and 400' icebreakers. The Government anticipates awarding a requirement's conmtract for one base year and four (4) one (1) year options. Estimated quantites for each year will be shown in the solicitation. F.O.B. origin to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd., Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. This will be full and open competition for the overhaul/repair using OEM Pratt & Whitney parts only. The work shall be performed in accordance with the Coast Guard Standard Repair Specification and Pratt & Whitney parts only. All parts to be furnished and used with the repair/overhaul shall be (OEM) Pratt & Whintey parts only. It is the Government's belief that the parts for use during the repair/overhaul are only available from Pratt & Whitney and authorized distributors. Accordingly, it is believed that this non-availability of technical data precludes the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center form obtaining competition (for parts only) as they are available from only one source. Organizations having the expertise and required capabilities to provide the brand name parts are invited to submit complete information discussing such capabiliies.
