65 -- BLEEDING TUBES, POLYPROPYLENE COPOLYMER PLASTIC SOL 6-M-APHIS-00 DUE 040600 POC Patricia Harris, Contracting Officer, 612/370-2128 65 -- The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Riverdale, MD, intends to acquire bleeding tubes with polypropylene copolymer, plastic, bleeding tubes with polyalkaline glycol lubricant or a tubes which incorporates the clot promoting and non-adherence factors in to the plastic. Two methods will be considered under this solicitation. Each tube shall have a plastic plug-type push-in cap which extends 5/16" above the top of the tube when inserted. The tubes are used to collect blood samples from cattle and swine. Estimated quantity: 7,000 MX (mx=thousand) with the option to purchase and additional 3000 MX tubes. A bid sample of 200 tubes and push caps are required with submission of each offer, prior to bid opening. The contract period is from date of award and continue through September 30, 2000 with the option to renewal for an additional 4 years. This a fixed price, requirements type contract. Delivery orders will be issued against the contract. Deliveries are required 45 days after receipt of an order. FOB Destination. This is a 100% small business set-aside procurement.
