The work for this project consists of removal of existing roof structure and the placement of a new tensioned membrane roof covering over the USS Cairo (an ironclad gunboat dating from the Civil War). This is the base bid item to include relocation of site utilities and patching of disturbed materials. Two additives are included. Additive #1 consists of repair work to existing museum building exterior enclosure (walls and roof deck) and brick walk paths to prevent ponding water and water intrusion into the museum building. Additive #2 consists of lighting, lightning protection, mechanical ventilation, and fire protection. LOCATION: Vicksburg National Military Park, Vicksburg, (Warren County), Mississippi.
