The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center San Diego intends to procure services for a Contractor Operated Industrial and Commercial Hardware Store (COICHS), located at various sites to include the Navy Public Works Center (PWC), San Diego. The proposed contract will be Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity. The Government intends to award a single contract, but reserves the right to award multiple contracts when it is determined most advantageous. Multiple awards are identified in FAR 16.504(c) with task order procedures in FAR 16.505(b). The Standard Industrial Code is 5063, and the solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. This is a new requirement and is not considered a follow-on. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, equipment, vehicles, management, supervision, and reports necessary to accomplish all of the tasks and requirements to materially support five Shop Stores. The Government reserves the right to specify certain items (when required) on each order. The period of performance will be a Base and four 1-year Option. The solicitation will be released on or about 05 June 2000. A site visit and pre-proposal conference will be listed in the Request for Proposals (RFP). The specifications, service, delivery requirements and estimated quantities will be specified in the solicitation. Copies of the solicitation will only be available electronically on the FISC Web page and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) world wide web site http://www.neco.navy.mil.
