The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Divison, Lakehurst is considering purchasing commercial or modified commercial calibration equipment intended for use by Navy personnel in shipboard and shore-based laboratories to calibrate Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) and Tactical Naviagation (TACAN) test sets. The equipment shall have the capability to output IFF and TACAN signals at 2.5 kW peak power within the carrier frequency band from 960 MHz to 1200 MHz. Pulse parameters including pulse spacing and pulse width shall be adjustable. This equipment will replace the PPTS-101 and the AN/UPM-144 Peak Power Test Sets. This request is not a solicitation for proposals and does not commit the Government to the award of a contract. There is no solicitation package. This is a request for information only. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.
