PROJECT AJFX 97-9008 consists of providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations necessary to repair HVAC at building 3744, located on Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. The work includes but is not limited to: Demolition of existing HVAC equipment, piping and ductwork. Installation of AHU's along with VAV air distribution system. Replace existing HVAC control system. Existing air cooled chiller will remain. Provide wet pipe sprinkler system throughout facility. Provide new fire alarm system including new smoke and heat detectors, annunciator panel and communication link. Replace exhaust fans and plumbing fixtures. Provide electrical support for new mechanical equipment and update electrical devices. Install new lighting and receptacles throughout facility. Replace acoustical ceilings throughout. Hazardous material removal/abatement will be required. Total contract performance period is 270 calendar days. The proposed procurement is being issued as an UNRESTRICTED acquisition. Award will be made to the offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than low offeror. Offer guarantee required when requested by the Contracting Officer.
