This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; verbal or written proposals are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 99-17. SIC 8062 applies. Size Standard is $5 million in average revenues over the last three years. While VAMC recruits a staff Chief of Urology, Contractor to provide Board Certified, unrestricted license in U.S., Urologist Surgeon services to and at VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN for a minimum of 90 days, July 1, 2000 through September 30, 2000 (with possible 2-month extension), 5-day per week coverage (40 hours), 7:30 to 4:00, with on-call services, evenings and weekends (estimated to be twelve times per month). Duties will include direction of residents, staff clinic and perform urologic procedures appropriate to a Board Certified Urologic. Expected work load would approximate 50 major OR cases per year and 5000-6000 clinic patients including 600-700 cystoscopies per year. These figures are calculated against the total load distributed through 3 FTE's in Urology. Duties will include inpatient and outpatient consult visits. Comply with appropriate and applicable policies, procedures and regulations of the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5 test program; simplified acquisition procedures apply.
