The presolicitation notice which was published in the CBD on 05/04/00, under Submission No. 451454, is replaced with the following amended notice: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the replacement of an existing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning System in the Medical/Dental Clinic. The work is to be performed at the USCG Aviation Training Center, Mobile, AL. The facility is a 9,000 SF single-story building. New construction will be for a four-pipe heating /cooling system, Direct Digital Control and a dedicated ventilation air handling/cooling system. The replacement construction includes supply air ductwork, 50 ton Air handling unit, gas-fired boiler, fan coil units and air-cooled chiller. The anticipated bid opening date is July 2000. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible but to be received not later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As a mininum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies are requested from all concerns, as well as from HUBZone concerns. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000. and $500,000.
