Solicitation Number N00421-00- Q-0267 is to be issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and will award the purchase order on a sole source basis with Leading Edge Sales, Incorporated, 7939 Honeygo Boulevard, Suite 105, Baltimore, MD 21236 the regional distributor for Teknor Applicom Incorporated, 616 Cure Boivin, Boisbriand, CAN J7G 2A7 for the part numbers listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Teknor Applicom's 500MHz CPU, rear access to I/O, dual slot (8 HP), single board computers (Part Number CPCI-M500SRD); and dual slot (8HP) rear I/O transistion modules (Part Number CTM80-STD2S) are compatible form, fit, and function to the existing SPN-35 design equipment. Teknor Applicom has made user/manufacturer defined interconnecting wiring that is incorporated in the SPN-35 design and is the only Single Board Computer found which can fulfill the Government's minimum requirement for this application. The contract line item number and description is: CLIN 0001 -- Part number CPCI-M500SRD, 500MHz Single Board Computer (Qty 10 EA); CLIN 0002 -- Part Number CTM80-STD2S, Rear I/O Transition Module (Qty 10 EA). Award is expected to be in June 2000, with a delivery date within 4 weeks ARO. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all information received from interested parties by 25 MAY 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
