This pavement research is based upon a completed feasibility study using precast concrete panels for highway pavement as a means to expedite construction without sacrificiang durability. The report validated the concept of using precaset panels for highway pavements and recommended additional testing and evaluation through pilot studies. These pilot studies will be conducted in order to try proposed procedures and techniques prior to construction of precast panel pavements on in-service facilities.
