Soldiers' & Airmen's Home (USSAH) has a requirement for removal and
replacement of deteriorated fire hydrants and valves in the water
distribution system. USSAH requests the brand name of Mueller. The
USSAH is a continuing Care Retirement Community of approximately 1,150
retired and former members of the Armed Forces with an average age of
74. Offerors shall provide company name, address, phone number, fax
number, and point of contact with the request for the solicitation. The
award will be based value and lowest overall cost to the Government.
The evaluation factors are 1)Experience and Capability to remove and
install fire hydrants. 2) Management/Technical Approach, and 3) Price.
This is a simplified acquisition for commercial items up to $5M in
accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13. The government intends to make
one award or no award for this requirement. The solicitation will be
available on Monday, May 15, 2000. A site visit is scheduled for
Friday, May 26, at 10:30 am. Theofferor's proposals are due on June 03,
