Z -- REPLACE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM -- PHASE II SOL IFB679-062-00WG DUE 070500 POC Wanda Goolsby, Contracting Officer, (205) 554-2837 The DVAMC, Tuscaloosa, AL requires a contractor to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition, furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to perform and complete all work required by the project "Replace Fire Alarm System Phase II" a this facility. Work for this project includes the removal of all-existing fire alarm equipment and associated wiring, cabling and raceway systems in certain buildings on the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Campus at Tuscaloosa Alabama as well as general construction activities associated with replacing the existing fire alarm system. The existing system shall be fully replaced with a programmable multiplex analog type system. The new system shall comply with the latest codes and standards including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), as well as the various applicable VA standards. This work also includes but is not limited to painting and patching walls and ceilings, providing wall coverings and general repair efforts associated with fire alarm system replacement efforts. The contractor shall be responsible for all phasing and coordinating required under this contract. Estimated cost range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. SIC code 1731 applies.
