Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision
required to dredging services (hydraulic or bucket) at U.S. Coast Guard
Group Fort Macon, Atlantic Beach, NC. Work includes but is not limited
to the following: (1) Mobilization and demobilization; (2) Prepare the
site to accept dredge spoils as indicated on the drawings. Site
preparation work shall include earthwork within the limits indicated;
placement of silt fencing; construction of a diked containment area,
excavating and grading; laying inlet and outlet pipe; and constructing
an adjustable drop box/spillway/weir, to regulate the flow of
effluent; (3) Dredge approximately 700 CY of material from the area
around the boat slip and boat haulout to provide a depth of _12.0 MLW
and dispose of material in the designated disposal area. Provide unit
price per 100 CY of additional dredge material (Option Item). All
dredging work must be completed prior to 15 September 2000; (4) Perform
pre and post dredge surveys stamped by a registered surveyor in the
State of North Carolina. Surveys shall be used to compute the dredge
quantity; and (5) Perform disposal area maintenance and finish work.
Davis-Bacon Area Wage rates are applicable. The SIC Code is 1629 _
Dredging. The estimated range is between $25K -- $100K. All dredging
activities shall be completed by 15 September 2000 all other work
(including submittals etc.) shall be completed within three weeks after
the completion of the dredging activities but no later than 6 October
2000. The Proposal due date will be o/a 6/30/00. A Bid Bond is not
required. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. NOTE:
SIC code 1629 _ Dredging: To be considered small for purposes of
Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the
volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another
