Work consists of the removal of approximately 867,000 cubic yards of dredged material comprised of maintenance material from 15,000 feet of project channel with a width of 150 feet, a required depth of 9 feet (below mean low tide)and allowable overdepth of 2 feet. The dredged material will be used to construct approximately 180 acres of marsh and reestablish a bird island. Geotubes will be used to contain the dredged material for the intended marsh construction. The plans and specifications will be available on compact disc only. The cost range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
