Sarnecky, Contracting Officer, 804-327-0560 Provide instructional materials for DoDEA Grades 7-12 Foreign Language (Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Italian and Korean) Program. The Government intends to adopt programs for the grade groupings of 6-8 and 9-12. More than one award may be made may be made as a result of this solicitation for thirty-nine 7-12 foreign language courses. However, the Government may award only one contract if a contractor's program meets the requirements for more than one course. It anticipated Solicitation MDA414-00-R-0006 will be issued on 06/01/00 with a closing date of 08/04/00. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. Publishers will be required to submit student textbooks or equivalents, teacher's editions of the student text, student workbooks or equivalent, teacher's resource packages/materials, assessment materials, ancillary support materials integral to the program and technological and multi-media materials if considered integral to the core program. The publisher(s) will also be requiredto provide related professional development training and support services as specified in the solicitation. Publishers shall not submit any Foreign Language instructional materials for review to schools, teachers, Foreign Language coordinators or other employees of the Department of Defense Education Activity during the solicitation phase of this acquisition. The proposed contract will be a requirements type contract with a base period of eighteen months with five option years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will contain specific instructions for submission of review materials and price proposals.
