Forest Service is proposing new regulations to protect certain roadless
areas within the 192 million acre National Forest System. In addition
to a draft environmental impact statement and a cost benefit analysis,
the agency has prepared an initial regulatory flexibility analysis.
The public is invited to comment on the proposed rule and accompanying
analyses, which are available by accessing the worldwide web at
roadless.fs.fed.us/or by requesting via telephone ad (703) 605-5299.
