The work consists of the Contractor furnishing all plant, labor, parts, tools, personnel, equipment, appliances and materials necessary to perform all operations, complete, in strict accordance with specifications. The scope of work for this project primarily includes, but is not limited to the replacement of miscellaneous asphalt and concrete surfaces around the main observatory facility with new concrete pavement. There is curb and gutter work associated with the AEOS facility, as well as, the main observatory. A small retaining wall is required, as well as, minor below grade roof drain systems. Electrically there are ground lights being removed and relocated as well as new lights around the perimeter of the new pavement. A series of traffic rated lights are required to establish a night lighting in existing concrete pavement. The site of work contemplated under these specs is located at Maui Space Surveillance Complex (MSSC), Mt. Haleakala, Maui Hawaii. A solicitation will be issued on 31 May 2000 in compliance with Public Law 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Program Act of 1988, establishing a test of unrestricted competition.
