project consists two separate bores and pulling back 16" dia steel
casing for water distribution. The steel casing must be welded and
completely pulled through. The two separate bores consist of one bore
under a roadway, and one bore under the runway for a total of 298 feet.
After the bores are complete, an eight inch waterline must be pulled
back through. The bores are at two different locations. Contractor
shall weld the steel casing into one continuous piece to fit under each
bore sight, with no breaks in the steel sleeve, and pull sleeve through
the bore sites, then pull water line through the sleeve. The contractor
shall furnish and install the casing pipe, and install the government
furnished carrier pipe. The runway bore will be 275 LF, for 16"
diameter, .375 guage steel pipe. The roadway bore will be 23 LF, for
16" diameter, .375 guage steel pipe. The government shall complete all
necessary shoring, excavation, all traffic control, all grade
alignment stakes, backfilling of the boring, removal and or replacement
of any and all man made obstructions during the boring operation. The
government shall furnish the carrier pipe and centering chock. Pit size
