Maintenance and Repair of an Edwards Fire Alarm System and Fire
Suppression System. The Western Regional Contracting Office (WRCO)
intends to award a Time-and Materials Maintenance contract for the
aforementioned equipment located at Tripler Army Medical Center,
Honolulu, Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide all technical expertise,
labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment and transportation
necessary to maintain and repair the Fire Suppression equipment, and
Edwards Fire Alarm System. Performance shall include, but is not
necessarily limited to performance of emergency, urgent and routine
work. All work shall be performed by Edwards Certified Technicians who
meet the minimum experience requirements described in the Statement of
Work (SOW). The contract will be for a base year plus four option years
with an estimated start date of 1 Sep 2000. The solicitation is being
issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under SIC Code 7382 with a
size standard of $9M. The solicitation will be posted on thewebsite
listed below for downloading on or about 22 Jun 2000, precluding any
unforeseen delays. The URL must be typed exactly as seen in order to
successfully access this site. Paper copies of the solicitation and any
subsequent amendments will not be mailed out. The estimated closing
date for receipt of proposals is 25 Jul 2000. For record keeping
purposes, prospective offerors are requested to notify Ruth D. Richmond
at the e-mail address provided. The solicitation is being issued under
Part 15 of the FAR since FAR 12.207 prohibits the use of a
Time-and-Materials contract type when acquiring commercial items. All
offerors are advised that registration in the DOD Central contractor
Registration (CCR) database is required prior to award of a contract.
Failure to be registered in the DOD CCR may render the firm ineligible
