MANUFACTURING DEVELOPMENT PHASE SOL N00019-00-R-0397 POC Denise Hanley

provides contracting officer e-mail points of, HanleyDA@jast.mil or

conduct a limited competition for Engineering and Manufacturing
Development (EMD). The competition will result in the selection of a
single prime contractor and will be limited to the two JSF Program
Demonstration and Risk Reduction (PDRR) contractors, Boeing and
Lockheed-Martin. Following a 1996 Full and Open Competition, these
contractors were awarded JSF PDRR contracts. The principal objective of
the PDRR phase was to demonstrate those critical technologies,
processes, and system characteristics necessary to produce an
affordable family of strike aircraft that meet USAF, USMC, USN, and UK
service needs. The principal objectives of EMD will be to develop an
affordable family of strike aircraft and an autonomic logistics support
and training system. Specifically, the successful offeror will develop
and verify a production-ready system design that features a balanced
approach to the JSF pillars of affordability, lethality, survivability,
and supportability. Since this is a limited competition, this notice is
for informational purposes only. Posted 06/15/00 (W-SN465057). (0167) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0010 20000619\A-0010.SOL)
