Work consists of performing maintenance and new work dredging of the Brewerton Channel Eastern Extension (35 feet deep and 450/600 feet wide maintenance, 35 feet deep and 600 feet wide new work), with an option to perform new work dredging of Tolchester Channel (35 feet deep and 600 feet wide). The total estimated amount of material to be removed is 2,800,000 cubic yards from Brewerton Channel Eastern Ext. and 2,700,000 cubic yards from Tolchester Channel. The material will be dredged by clamshell and scow, hydraulic pipeline, or hopper dredge and placed in the Poplar Island Environmental Restoration Project and/or the Hart-Miller Island containment Facility.
