PURSUANT TO P.L. 100-656, SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM, THIS SOLICITATION IS CLASSIFIED AS UNRESTRICTED. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and transportation to perform SANITARY SEWER REPAIR/REPLACEMENT IN FAMILY HOUSING AREA (PHASE II), NAVAL HOSPITAL, BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA. Work includes, but is not limited to the replacement of approximately 5,456 LF of sanitary sewer main in place, by pipe bursting method, installed completely with all necessary manhole, yard, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and asphalt repairs as needed and incidental related. The SIC Code is 1623, Heavy Construction other than Building Construction, Water, Sewer, Utility, with the size standard of $17,000,000.00. The estimated range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The notice to proceed shall be delayed until completion of ongoing PHASE I, which is scheduled to be complete 1 December 2000. The estimated period of performance is 150 calendar days. The estimated solicitation release date is 07/24/00, and the estimated due date for bids is 08/24/00. The Government intends on issuing the solicitation through the use of the Internet only. All prospective offerors and plan rooms must register on the web-site. The entire solicitation, with drawings will be available for viewing and downloading at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The download time may be excessive. The official planholders list will be maintained and can be printed from the web-site. Amendments will be posted on the web-site for downloading.
