Vasseur, Contract Specialist (816)843-3705 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation shall not be issued. This solicitation number is M67386-00-Q-0031 and shall be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect thru Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18, dated June 6, 2000 and Defense Acquisition Change Notice, June 27, 2000. This RFQ is for camper trailers. CLIN 0001 Two each with the following specs: Minimum length 17 ft, Maximum weight w/option 2,400 LBS (Dry weight 2,100 LBS), Maximum tongue weight 150 LBS, sleeping capacity of 6 or more, 10,000 minimum BTU air conditioner, 15,000 minimum furnace, Refrigerator (propane/electrical), 3 burner or more stove, Toilet, Shower, Water heater, Dual propane tank 20# minimum propane tanks, 13 in or larger radial tire/wheels. CLIN 0002 One each with the following specs: Minimum length 24 ft, Maximum weight w/option 4,000 LBS (Dry weight 3,550 LBS), Maximum tongue weight 300 LBS, sleeping capacity of 6 or more, 10,000 minimum BTU air conditioner, 15,000 minimum furnace, Refrigerator (propane/electrical), 3 burner or more stove, Toilet, Shower, Water heater, Dual propane tank 20# minimum propane tanks, 14 in or larger radial tire/wheels, 25 gal fresh water tank or greater, 25 gal gray water tank or greater, 25 gal black water tank or greater. The following items may be used as trade-ins: CLIN 0003 Two each 1998 20 Ft "Shimera" Starcraft self contained camper with the following specs Dual propane tanks, A/C, TV. Antenna equipped, Am/Fm radio, Microwave, Refrigerator, Stove. CLIN 0004 One Each, 1998 "Venture" Starcraft 10 Ft Pop-up camper, Sleeps 8 people, Ice box, Stove. Per DFARS Clause 252.217-7002 "Offering Property for Exchange (Dec 1991) the property described as used for trade in is being offered in accordance with the exchange provisions of Section 201(c) of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, 63 Stat. 384 (40 U.S.C. 481(c)). The property is located at 15428 Andrews Road, Kansas City, MO 64147. Offerors may inspect the property by calling Mr. Dan Mountain at (816)843-3872 between 8:00am and 3:00pm CST. The Provision at FAR 52.212-1. "Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items" is hereby incorporated by reference. The provision 52.212-2, "Evaluation-Commercial Items" is not applicable to this acquisition. This requirement shall be awarded to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest responsive quote. Any trade-in allowance for CLIN 0003 will be deducted from the price of CLIN 0001; similarly, CLIN 0004 will be deducted from the price of CLIN 0002. If an offer includes exchange sale discounts that are unreasonable, that offer will be evaluated on the price for CLIN 0001 and 0002 only. Offerors must have a location within the Kansas City, MO metropolitan area to insure after purchase support such as warranty repairs. Each offeror shall include a copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, "Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items Alt I (Oct 1998)" and their Dunn & Bradstreet Number with their quote. Offerors wishing to respond to this solicitation shall provide a price quote, including both the unit price and the total price for each requested item, with offerors delivery proposal (time and type of), along with the required representation and certification. NOTE: DFARS 252.2001-7004 requires the offeror be registered to be eligible for award.
