Thursday, August 3, 2000, the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (Boulder) will be hosting their on-site Summer Technology
Exposition. This event will be promoted to all NIST groups including
Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory, Chemical Science and
Technology, all NOAA Groups including Climate Diagnostic Center, the
Surface Radiation Research branch of the Air Resources Laboratory, and
the Offices of the Executive Director of ERL for Boulder activities
and all Institute for Telecommunications Sciences. This location is a
very technical and has a need for a wide spectrum of technologies
especially pertaining to research. There are a lot of scientists,
engineers, technicians, and support personnel, plus visiting
researchers. The NIST budget is more than $681 million!! Some of the
requested technologies include Data Acquisition, Virtual Reality,
Simulation Software, Multi-media Presentation Systems, Office
Automation, Telecommunications, Real- Time, Secure Communications,
Video Teleconferencing, Microcomputers, CAD/CAE, Engineering Tools,
Laptops/Notebooks, Internet/Intranet, CD-ROM, Statistical Analysis
Software, Desktop Publishing, Systems Integration, and Scanners. We
expect attendance to be over 250 scientist, engineers, contractors,
