Dancy, Contracting Officer, (850) 452-4616, ext. 131, e-mail address: dancymp@efdsouth.navfac.navy.mil THIS SOLICITATION IS HEREBY ISSUED ON AN "UNRESTRICTED" BASIS, INVITING FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The intention of this solicitation is to obtain solid waste collection and disposal services for Naval facilities at the Pensacola Region (Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, Corry Station, Saufley Field, Bronson Field, and outlying Fields, NAS Whiting Field, OLF Chocaw, OLF Barin in Alabama, Site 8 and outlying fields). Included is the Pensacola Region Housing Complex, and the NAS Whiting Field Housing Complex. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision for the commercial portion of the subject solictation. The containers for the housing portion of the solicitation will be provided by the Government. The commercial refuse collection and disposal involves approximately 274 collection points and containers range from 3 cubic yards to 40 cubic yards. The housing portion of the solicitation involves approximately 708 collection points at NAS regional housing and 350 collection points at Whiting Field. The size of the containers range for NAS Housing areas are 90 gallon, and the size of containers for NAS Whiting are 30 gallon and 90 gallon containers, which will be collected twice per week, and one day a week for bulk and yard debris. It is anticipated that the base period of the subject solicitation will be from 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. The Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 4953. The Size Standard is $10,000,000. The performance period for the subject solicitation will be 1 base year, with 4 option periods. The total contract period will not exceed 60 months. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading.
