NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for lease of an Airport Traffic Identification System (ATIDS), purchase of a Dynamic Runway Occupancy Measurement System (DROMS), and services to couple these systems to the existing ARINC Digital Delivery of Taxi Clearance (DDTC) system at Detroit Metro Wayne International (DTW) Airport. Six-months operational test period and maintenance will be required. A lease to purchase option for the ATIDS will be included. A site visit will be held at DTW. Date and time will be specified in the RFO. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3812 and 750 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFO 1-041-OH.1021 is on or about August 1, 2000, with an anticipated offer due date of on or about August 18, 2000.
