SIC Code is 1542. The estimated cost is between $15,000,000 and
$20,000,000. The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers has a requirement for
construction of a consolidated support center building for soldiers and
their families containing approximately 121,000 square feet. The center
shall be constructed on two levels. The Center shall contain office
space for various departments,an assembly space, lobbies, circulations
corridors and stairs, mechanical spaces and storage. It shall contain
all required support facilities including services, communications,
information systems, intrusion detection system, fire protection and
alarm systems, paving, walks, and storm drainage and site improvements
including anti-Terrorism/force protection. Heating will be provided
from a natural gas-fired system and air conditioning will be
self-contained system. Bid documents are available on or about 9 August
2000. The bid opening date is on or about 8 September 2000 at 2:00 P.M.
The SIC is 1542. The estimated cost of work is between $15,000,000 to
$20,000,000. The time for completion for this project is 720 calendar
days. The plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disc
(CD-ROM) only. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a
printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to
revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's
best interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents
required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the
solicitation should be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid
submittal documents will not be allowed. All contractors MUST be
registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be
considered for award of a Federal contract. For information regarding

To obtain plans and specifications, mail check or money orders, payable
to " FAO USAED NewYork " in the amount of $5.00 per set
(non-refundable) to US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District,
Contracting Division, Contracting Room 1843, 26 Federal Plaza, New
York, NY 10278-0900. No cash accepted. Subcontracting Plan is required
for all large business firms. Attention is directed to DFARS Clause
252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The plans
