Postal Service is soliciting proposals to construct tenant improvements to an existing building located at 6720 Pittsford-Palmyra Rd. in Fairport, NY. Major work items include demolition, installation of metal framing and gypsum board walls and ceilings; acoustical ceilings; resilient flooring; carpeting; custom cabinets and fixtures; glass storefront system; painting; metal doors; wood doors; metal frames; door hardware; sectional overhead doors; metal fabrications; security systems; electrical; heating; ventilating; and air conditioning complete and ready for use. The estimated cost of the work is between $500,000.00 and $700,000.00, with completion within one hundred (180) calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no later than, 4:00 p.m. on August 23, 2000. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOTBE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Only certified checks or money orders will be accepted, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S. Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-00-A-0143). Proposals will be evaluated on 1) price and 2) company environmental,health, & safety plan, which must be submitted with the proposal. A project-specific safety plan must be submitted by the successful offeror before award. Guidelines for other project requirements are outlined in the specifications. The successful offeror will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and 50% payment bond before award of contract is made.
