Provide all equipment, common and special tools, travel and incidentals
necessary to perform factory recommended 22,000 hour service,
inspection and rebuild procedures on one (1) U.S.Coast Guard owned
Caterpillar Model 3512 Generator Engine, serial number 67Z00979 located
at USCG Loran Station St. Paul Island, Alaska. Work includes, but is
not limited to providing all labor necessary for the inspection and
rebuild procedures, listed in most recent versions of Caterpillar
Publication SEBU6103, SEBU6701, and other Caterpillar references and
the procedures listed in this document. All parts/materials (i.e.
gasket materials, etc.) that require exchange due to normal
inspection/tear down procedures as "(base bid)" items. Upon completion
of 22,000 hour overhaul, the Contractor shall test run the entire
generator under full load for four (4) hours and verify factory
operating specifications. The Contractor shall arrange his own
transportation and transportation of equipment to and from USCG Air
Station Kodiak. Work must be performed by a "Caterpillar Qualified"
mechanic for work on 3512 generator. Work shall be accomplished in a
professional manner and in strict strict to current Caterpillar company
recommended requirements and procedures and all work defined in this
specification shall be completed within 45 days of contract award date.
All parts shall be "Genuine Caterpillar Parts" meeting all Caterpillar
original equipment specifications. Parts and parts number shall be
upgraded to reflect the latest changes recommended by Caterpillar. The
standard industrial classification code is 7699 and the average sales
for the previous 3 years is $5.0 million. Request for RFQ documents
must be submitted and received by this office no later than 11 August
2000. Quotations must be submitted to this office no later than 24
August 2000. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offer working
capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts
receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit
