The Systems Engineering Management Division (Code 4.1) at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement to procure engineering investigation services from The Boeing Aerospace Operations Division of The Boeing Company. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from, and negotiate with, the Boeing Aerospace Operations Division of The Boeing Company, Midwest City, OK (Aircraft Support & Training Systems), 2601 Liberty Parkway, Midwest City, OK, 73110 on a sole source basis. The Boeing Company is a prime integrator of multiple Naval aircraft platforms which includes but is a not limited to the AV-8, F/A-18, H-46, T-45, V-22, E-6, C-9, and C-40. NAVAIR relies on Boeing's unique expertise as a prime integrator and as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Therefore, Boeing has been identified as the only responsible source that offers its unique and proprietary expertise on assemblies, sub-assemblies, systems and/or components of specified Naval aircraft particular to Boeing. It is anticipated that an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract will be awarded to Boeing for engineering investigation services.
