U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement to purchase a portable data
collections system for USCGC Juniper. The purpose of the system is to
collect ans analyze phase marked cylinder pressure, vibration and gas
flow sonic data. The system shall include one portable data collector
for acquiring phase marked cylinder pressure data and phase marked
cylinder vibration data, (2) piezo-electric or piezo-resistive cylinder
pressure sensors, (2) accelerometers, (2) sets of magnetic pick-up
sensors and/or proximity probe sensors (one per engine) for measuring
engine rpm and tracking crankshaft position, (20 microphones suitable
for measuring engine gas flow sonic signatures, cylinder pressure and
vibration analysis software including (1) licensed copy for an
individual workstation and (1) licensed network copy, (4) hard copies
of the software user's manual, all computer cable, computer cable
connections, adapters and adapter cards required to establish
communications with and download to a host computer, at least two (2)
sets of batteries, a battery charger, tranducer cables and cable
adapters, a wrench for installing the pressure tranducer to the kiene
ports, (7) magnetic pads for mounting the accelerometer and (5) copies
of the data collector technical manual shall be provided. It has been
determined that only Dynalco Control are the only source with the
ability to complete this task. All responsible sources may submit a
quotation which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
A one time buy is anticipated. Delivery of Engine Analyzer shall be
fourteen days ARO. Remaining items shall nave various delivery dates.
The completed supplement shall be delivered to the USCG Engineering
Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000.
