The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal health care services contract for licensed Dental Hygienist services for a base year and two option years. Services will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution located at 1299 South Seaside Avenue, Terminal Island, California 90731. The dental hygienist must be a graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene Program, licensed to operate radiographic equipment for the purpose of oral radiography and licensed to practice dental hygiene in and by the State of California. The schedule will normally consist of three sessions per week. A session is defined as eight (8) hours of service time performed by an individual dental hygienist. Sessions lasting other than eight hours will be prorated accordingly. No individual may work more than 30 hours per week. Sessions normally take place Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., which includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The estimated number of sessions per each base and option year is 156 sessions. The quantity of sessions or studies which may be utilized throughout the life of the contract is an estimate only. This estimate is not a representation to an offeror or contractor that the estimated quantity will be required or ordered, or that conditions affecting requirements will be stable or normal. There is no guarantee that a minimum level of orders will be placed, as services will be based on actual usage. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The SIC is 8021 and the NAICS is 621210 with size standard $5.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a written offer which will be considered for award.
