The bleeder valve is a specification controlled item and is fabricated from stainless steel. Item requires an operating pressure of 3500 PSIG, proof of 7000 psig, and burst of 14000 psig. Overall approximate size is 1 inch by 1 inch by inch. Inlet is .31-24UNF-3A thd. Outlet is .19 dia. The two suggested sources of supply are the Fluid Regulator Corp. and National Screw Products. Requirements are 900 each Hydraulic Bleeder Valve. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent option. FOB is Destination. For use on the M109 Howitzer. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. Estimated issue date is 28 Aug 00. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY00 requirement.
