for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. The Solicitation Number is M8400100SS080898 and this is a
Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document incorporates
provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-16 AND DAC 91-13. This
is a 100% small business set aside under simplified acquisition
procedures; the standard industrial code is 5611 and the small business
size standard is $6.5 million. The following item is intended to be
purchased for the Government on a firm fixed price contract. Short
sleeve Hanes heavyweight "Beefy T" -- shirts, royal blue color with
extensive designs/logos on both the front and back of each T-Shirt. A
digital illustration can be requested electronically by emailing
Captain Torres at torresga@mail.cpp.usmc.mil. Total quantity = 15,000
ea: 7,500 size large, 7,500 size extra large). Samples will be sent for
evaluation to the Supply Officer, 8th Marine Corps District HQ, Bldg
10, NSA, New Orleans, LA 70142 by 1600 CST 23 August, 2000. Quotes will
be sent for evaluation to Contracting Office, Attn. Capt. Torres, P. O.
Box 1609, Oceanside, California, 92051-1609 by 1600 PST 23 August,
2000. The items will be delivered FOB Destination to twenty (20) Marine
Corps Recruit Stations/activities throughout the central region of the
United States no later than 11 September, 2000. Each delivery will be
split evenly between large and extra large sizes. Delivery addresses
will be provided upon receipt of product sample and quotes. All
responsible sources may submit an offer along with DUNS Number and FAR
52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial
Items (FEB 2000). The Government will evaluate the delivery date,
price, and quality of product. All Contractors submitting an offer are
reminded that you must be registered in the Central contractor
Registration database to be considered for award. The following

DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of
Commercial Items (Jan 1999), applies with the following clauses
applicable from paragraph b. DFARS 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and
Balance of Payment Program. DFAR 252.225-7036 North American Free Trade
Agreement Implementation Act. Also included DFAR 252.204-7004 Required
Central Contractor Registration (Mar 98), DFAR 252.232-7009 Payment by
Electronic Funds Transfer (CCR). Any Contract awarded, as a result of
this so1icitation will be an order certified for National Defense use
under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System. The Government
intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer
is the most advantageous to the Government. Sample and offers must be
received no later than 4:00 PM, CST/PST respectively, 23 August 2000.
Samples sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to the Supply
Officer, 8th Marine Corps District HQ, Bldg 10, NSA, New Orleans, LA
70142 while quotes sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to
Contracting Office, Attn: Captain Torres, P.O. Box 1609, Oceanside,
California, 92051-1609. All offers not sent through the U.S. Postal
Service will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered.
Hand carried offers must be delivered to Building 10, NSA, New Orleans
LA or Bldg 22180, Contracting Office, Camp Pendleton CA. Direct
delivery of offers is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal
holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Offers may also
