test new replacement and modernization elevator equipment for the
hydraulic service elevator including programmable logic controller,
traveling cables, hoist way wiring and switches, fixtures, doors and
associated equipment, door operators and associated equipment, oil
control unit, hydraulic pump, damaged interior cab wall panel; removing
and disposing of the existing equipment that is not reused; cleaning,
inspecting, and reporting on the condition of the existing equipment
and materials to be reused; provide training and diagnostic equipment
to Bureau of Reclamation personnel for operation and maintenance of the
modernization elevator system; providing adjustments to the elevator
equipment for a period of one year; reusing existing hydraulic jack
assembly, bolts, undamaged conduit, pull boxes, disconnect switch, car
guide rails, hoist way support structure, jack and machine support
beams, steel inserts, buffers, oil reservoir, pump motor, mainline
strainer, oil hydraulicsilencer, sound isolating couplings, hoist way
door frames and sills, care frame, care platform and cab. The work is
situated at the Glen Canyon Power Plant on the Colorado River, in the
vicinity of Page, Arizona. A site visit will be held September 13, 2000
at 9:00 a.m. at the Bureau of Reclamation's Glen Canyon Visitors
Center, the Bureau's Conference Room. It is estimated the site visit
will take approximately 2 hours. The SIC Code is 1796. The estimated is
between $25,000 and $100,000. Bid, performance and payment bonds will
be required. This procurement is unrestricted. There will be no charge
