assisted reproductive technology (ART) data files with Massachusetts
(MA) state linked birth-death data files which may be used to obtain
information on both the circumstances surrounding conception and the
short-term maternal and infant outcomes, including infant mortality.
This will be the first such comprehensive data file for a U.S.
population. The period of performance is anticipated for a period of 12
months. Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued approximately
September 28, 2000, to Massachusetts Department of Public Health,
Bureau of Health Statistics, 250 Washington St. Boston MA 02108 on a
sole source basis. Authority: 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), Justification: The
Massachusetts Department of Public Health has proprietary rights to the
Massachusetts birth/death record database. No other data will satisfy
agency requirements. Only written inquiries will be honored and receive
