It is the intent of the Government to negotiate a sole source basis with McKesson Automated Prescription Systems, Pineville, LA, for the rental of an automated medication counting system which includes drug cassettes located in counter top cabinets and in floor standing cabinets, cassette counters and master counters and a large capacity counting cell referred to as a Super Cell. Counters shall be operable through the use of a digital keypad on microprocessor based electronics on 115 volts A/C. The contractor shall provide 24 hour per day customer service access. This acquisition will be processed under Commercial Item Procedures and will be a base year 01 Oct 00 to 30 Sep 01 with four one year options.
