The project is located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio and consists of the design and construction of a new Hanger that will provide additional gallery space for the Air Force Museum. The new facility shall be approximately 244M long by 92M wide, and be constructed of steel fabricated arch trusses connected to exposed concrete footings. Walls shall consist of architectural precast or cast-in-place concrete and metal siding. Motorized sliding telescoping airplane hanger doors will be located on the east and west walls of the hanger. Included will be a east taxiway built to the hanger door. Project requires architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, geotechnical, and fire protection design and construction. The project has four options: Option #1, Connector to Hanger 2; Option #2, Hall of Missiles; Option #3, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems; and Option #4, West Taxiway. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria: Price, Experience and Past Performance, Technical Approach, Project Management, and Subcontracting Plan.
