August 2000 -- 1330. The United States Special Operations Command
(USSOCOM) is seeking potential sources and information regarding
comprehensive, end-to-end, SOF Information Enterprise (SIE) services
through multiple security levels of the computing and communications
environment (NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and other). USSOCOM is a unified
command that has unique authority over resources, an authority
equivalent to the military Services or other defense agencies. The term
USSOCOM refers to the overall Command that includes Special Operations
Forces elements of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. HQ USSOCOM refers
exclusively to the Headquarters located in Tampa, Florida at MacDill
AFB. Information and "ideas" are being sought from industry in the
Information Technology area. It specifically will cover operations and
maintenance of all required desktop and network hardware and software,
end user connectivity, help desk support, systems infrastructure
improvements, and training. It will also include video teleconferencing
(VTC) and secure telephone systems. There are five (5) primary
locations within the United States from the East Coast to the West
Coast, OCONUS locations and some remote sites both CONUS and OCONUS.
The potential NAIC that will be used is 541519 however, we request
industry provide input on this potential assigned NAIC. All sources
that are interested should supply the following type of information no
later than 30 September 2000. (1) Name and address of company, size of
company, POC, phone number, facsimile number and email address; (2)
technical capabilities with core processes or expertise in the areas
indicated above; (3) level of resources and highest clearance level of
personnel with number associated; (4) subcontracting arrangement
capability; (5) experience (present and up to five years historical
information); (6) experience with performance based contracting; and
suggested methods of possible processes for ease of industry in
proposing. This synopsis is strictly for market research information
and planning purposes. It is not soliciting proposals or bids and
should not be construed as a commitment by the Government. We will not
pay for information submitted. Disregard the "LINKURL" and "LINKDESC"
