Synopsis/Solicitation in accordance with the commercial practices in
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and
a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation
No.F19650-00-Q-0043 is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) (iii)
CLIN 0001 -- The requirement is for the re-design of 5 existing system
furniture set-ups and the addition of 4 new compatible system
furniture set-ups to include: Work will consist of furnishing all
plans, labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation necessary
to perform all operations in connection with the installation of above
described furniture to include any tear down and electrical work
necessary. (iv) Work should begin on or about 18 September 2000 (v)
Clauses 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to
this acquisition. (vi) 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. The
following factors will be used to evaluate offers: Professional
specifications, past performance, price and price related factors and
delivery schedule considered in descending order of importance as
listed here. In addition, when all other factors are combined they are
more important than price. The government will select a professionally
superior offer if it is determined that the additional professional
merit is worth the additional cost in relation to the other proposals
received. Furthermore, the government may reject any or all offers if
such action is in the public interest or waive informalities and minor
irregularities in offers received. Professional capability will be
determined from the information submitted by the Offeror providing a
description in sufficient detail to show the product offered meets the
government's requirements. (vii) 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and
Certifications-Commercial Items. Offeror must be a Small Business.
(vii) 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items. (ix) All
offerors must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR). (ix) Responses
