Vicksburg District, proposes to issue a request for quotation [for the
U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Waterways
Experiment Station (WES), Vicksburg, Mississippi] for furnishing all
labor, material, supplies and equipment necessary for the maintenance
and repair (including quick response emergency repairs) of all heavy
equipment at the ERDC/WES. This support shall ensure that all equipment
is mission capable and in good operating condition. An example of
equipment includes, but is not limited to, cranes, ditch witches,
dozers, wheel loaders, skid steer loaders, dozer crawlers, backhoes,
road graders, air compressors, etc. Note: Reference the solicitation
for the specific name brands of the different types of equipment to be
maintained. The Government intends to release Solicitation No.
DACW42-00-T-0105 on or about 13 September 2000 on the Internet (Note:
This is a tentative date. If the solicitation does not appear on this
date, the site should be checked daily until it is posted). The
Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification
of any amendments to this solicitation. It is the Contractor's
responsibility to view the website (http://www/offices/contract)
frequently. At this website choose the following sequence: (1)
Procurement Opportunities; (2) Supply and Service; (3) Simplified
Acquisitions; and (4) Solicitation Number DACW42-00-T-0105. A minimum
of 30 days from the date of release of the solicitation will be allowed
for submission of bids (reference solicitation for actual required
closing date). All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be
considered for award. A firm fixed-price, 5-year, Blanket Purchase
Agreement (BPA) contract will be awarded utilizing the Simplified
Acquisition Procedures authorized by FAR Subpart 13.5 for Commercial
Services. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business
