Description

THIS SYNOPSIS, CITED AS NUMBER W-251 SN494236, IS HEREBY CANCELED. This acquisition falls under one of the exceptions to synopsis, namely, the exception in FAR 5.202(a)(3). That FAR paragraph states that the contracting officer need not submit submit a synopsis notice when the proposed contract action is one for which the written direction of a foreign government reimbursing the agency for the cost of the acquisition of the supplies or services for such government has the effect of requiring that the acquisition shall be from specified sources. This acquisition is funded by the Greek Government, which has directed the U. S. Army to contract with Hentzen Coatings, Inc. and has directed Hentzen Coatings, Inc. to subcontract with ELVO, S. A., a firm located in Greece. There are no subcontracting opportunities for any firm other than ELVO, S. A. Based on the foregoing discussion and the exception to synopsis expressed in FAR Paragraph 5.202(a)(3), THIS SYNOPSIS IS HEREBY CANCELED.
