Description

See Numbered Notes 1, 9, 13 & 26. NSN: 8470-01-359-359-0426(s); SPEC: MIL-C-44417(GL) dated 21 Feb 91; Pattern Date: 09 Jan 96. A Solicitation will be issued for Carrier, Body Armor, Small Arms Protective with Inserts, Type 2 (4 sizes) as an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract (IDTC) with the following quantities: 79 Ea MIN; 553 Ea MAX with four (4) 100% Mandatory Term Options. Estimated quantity for the Base Year is 316 Ea. This solicitation will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Firms. The destinations for the subject item are Defense Depot Tracy, CA and Defense Depot New Cumberland, PA. Production Leadtime is 90 days from date of award (2 deliveries). Best Value/Source Selection Procedures will be utilized in making an award, and as a result, Technical Proposals are required. Evaluation Factors are as follows in descending order of importance: 1) Past Performance; 2) Socio-Economic Factors; 3) DLA Mentoring Business Arrangements and 4) Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act Entity Proposal. All responsible sources may submit an offer which DSCP shall consider. Solicitation closing date of Oct 26, 2000 is estimated.
